Principal's Welcome

Thank you for visiting the Garden Grove Elementary website. Garden Grove Elementary is a California Distinguished School. We are one of only 12 Schools for Advanced Studies  (SAS). Our vision is to proudly state that when our students leave us in 5th grade, they can compete with any other 5th graders across the state.

My career experiences show that students learn best when they are engaged and motivated in high-quality, rigorous and collaborative lessons. Our teachers have made the commitment to design these lessons and prepare our students for middle school and beyond. In addition to the pursuit of academic excellence, our teachers are compassionate individuals asking themselves, what is best for the child.  I am honored to serve as the principal of such a dedicated staff.

We know that students succeed best when parents and the community are involved. We are fortunate to have dedicated community members interested in working with us in ensuring that each student and teacher consistently work toward their full potential. We have a fantastic volunteer program coordinated by our parent center representative. We also have a very active PTA constantly in search of new strategies to get the community involved.
